Description

Learn how to use the online platform tools, LinkedIN and UCSF Connect, to assist you in the next steps of your career. This session is designed for UCSF students and postdocs seeking non-academic employment looking to unleash the power of these online tools in strategic ways. Why use UCSFConnect? This tool allows alumni to identify what ways they would be willing to connect with students and postdocs. You can view if an alumni is open to answering questions, reviewing your CV, or conducting an informational interview!

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of this session you will:

  • Learn how to use LinkedIN to explore careers, find employment opportunities, and manage your career

  • Understand how this tool can help you in your current career work

  • Learn a few specific strategies for using UCSF Connect to find professionals in your field of interest

Please remember to sign up for a LinkedIn (https://www.linkedin.com/reg/join) and UCSF Connect (ucsfconnect.com) account prior to the workshop. Bring your laptop or other device with you to this hands-on workshop designed to help you with your next steps.
